Stopped here tonight for dinner with a friend who knows what's good "diner" food and excellent cheesecake.

I ordered my usual gyro platter with one trip to the salad bar and French fries. Ditto for my friend.

The salad bar was very fresh and fully stocked. The macaroni salad was delicious and my friend enjoyed the potato salad.

My chicken gyro was full of fresh vegetables and moist chicken.

The French fries were well seasoned and at the correct temperature. My friend was also impressed with her French fries.

Since my friend ate a plate of salad and her French fries, she asked for a box for her beef gyro.

But, she then ordered a piece of baklava cheesecake to go and wound up eating most of it as she said it was too good to stop eating.
Mind you that she did help her friend who started a cheesecake business, as a "master" taster. She does know her cheesecake and the Potts and Penn is right on the mark......for great cheesecake!!
I asked for my favorite, the key lime (neon green) cheesecake and they were out. It gives me an excuse to stop by again and soon.
My friend also mentioned how good the burgers looked as she saw another patron chowing down on a burger.
I reminded her that the breakfast here is hearty and very reasonable.
She will be returning with her sisters who have worked in diners for the past 30 plus years.
Our server was patient, pleasant and very accommodating. Something that you don't see everyday.
Finally, my friend thanked me for introducing her to this wonderful diner and for a delightful dinner.

How should I start.. let's see to sum it up, this was the worst ever experience i ever had in any restaurant.

It was almost 12:50 and we (by we I mean my son, daughter as and me)had not eaten anything since morning except a cup of tea, we decided to have lunch at this diner as this was the nearest option available and offcourse the rating was good.

We were assigned to Table no 12. The server came with a scowling face. As I previously mentioned that we were so hungry, we requested for soda, hot chocolate, cake piece for my son. We ordered food but the hot chocolate and cake piece never arrived. We literally stood up, found her and asked to give the hot chocolate and dessert. She rolled her eye and brought the desert. Later the food arrived however it tasted so bad. The chicken was very hard. My daughter had to take out the chicken and eat the rest of her food, same thing I had to do. Deserts are supposed to melt in your mouth but the chocolate cake was hard and stiff.

So overall, never try this place until and unless you want to waste your money. The servers are really bad and the food is also worse.

Tonight we went to eat in Pottstown PA. The place we intended to  eat was closed. We looked  down the street and saw the
Potts & Penn Family Diner. It was great. We had hand cut onion rings. Gail had a cheese burger with white american cheese and french fries. I had a huge Virginia ham and swiss cheese with spicy brown triple decker sandwich. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was right. They played 50's 60's music. When the bill came I thought there was mistake. I didn't think it was enough. I was wrong. It was just under $24.00. The best

I will never spend money here. I was told I had to buy food before I could use the restroom. How can I eat without washing my hands I guess they do it that way so they figure I was dirty like them.

Great Breakfast! Typical family diner that you find in the PA NJ area waitresses are efficient. Quickly served and abundant portions. Short stack of pancakes would be more than enough for an average person. If your visiting Pottstown go for breakfast- it looks like the local people love it!
